Analyst is a person whose work in any organization is to go for analyzing process for different aspects of the project, and with some discussion he has to find out some conclusion.
Analyst supposed to be a very experienced person who has lot of experience about different sector of the related fields... so that he could analyze the project by different point of views.

Just to quote an instance, my uncle is an analyst in a garment export house. He specializes in fabric and his job is to analyze the fabric and give it a quality check and to decide wether it is fit for production or not.
