Google Answers , Google Knol …. Whats next Google Chrome ..?? Yea the buzz google made before launching every of its application was colossal , it was also thought that it might be a kill time for Wikipedia before the launch of Knol but it wasn’t even seen competing with it , same with GOOGLE CHROME ..??


At the end of the third week of its availability the market hold of google chrome trickled down to 0.77% from 0.85% tracked by net application . Chrome seems to fade against the DARK SHADES of firefox and IE in the market . The downward trend clear from the stats and expected to continue..

Who care in the present day stage where a major share of market is still under Microsoft IE influence , I would not see any celebration from Chrome in 08 , not even in 2009 but if its able to make some impact even till 2010 it would be appreciable . Is this another torpedo aimed at Microsoft’s hold ? Definetely mine answer would be YES but it might be heading towards a failure .

So will Chrome stick around for years? Probably. But my opinion today is that it rose to quick prominence and then died out just as quickly. It may never come back. Its now or never for google chrome .
what do u think .. will chrome will make a back door entry or the fairy tale is going to end soon ...??

I didn't like chrome either. But probably because I am so accustomed to mozilla.

I really dont agree with the stats, thats because its not a hype yet and with time it will again pace.
Google are the best minds i am not favoring them but i heard a lot about the strategy by which google is planning to shake the Microsoft foundation and its a step to decrease their supremacy.

I absolutely agree with you Sahil. Remember how Mozilla tried to register its name in the Guinness book of World records by getting maximum launch day downloads of mozilla firefox 3.!!!!!
Google probably missed a trick by not being able to create a hype of that level.
And personally, I have tried google chrome and have nothing against it. It matches mozilla firefox if not superscedes it as far as quality and features are concerned.

i do agree with ur reasons ... but whats happening with GOOGLE KNOL and what happened to GOOGLE ANSWERS cannot be ignored at alll....

Well that's how it works, isn't it? You pass some and you fail some. Google Knol and Google Answers were indeed flops. But I think riding off chrome so early will be a mistake.
