Keep it up.There is surely a need for it , if such a thing comes up and gets a boost in its early stage wonders can happen for India . Good.

well i think should just say that u r not at all updated with the new world. there is already Ooperating Systems in hindi n many other indian languages. try paying for a registered version of MS Windows XP (hindi n other languages) or the free Linux (Ubuntu, linuxmint, SUSE, fedora, redhat...). My advice to u - try keeping pace with technology...

Ankur ,I give it a 4 star just because your idea is gud ...

But.. ,
1. Theres nothing to be ashamed off .... we caught on with it only in latter part of the decade...

2. Its not because we r in india so we should make something like it .... If your intention is to help people then i am in , else if u r ashamed then ......

3. Designing an OS is no kids deal .... We Need Genius to actually come up with something like it ...
I am a final year computer science student , and wat i say is credible ... Do you hav it in you ....

Better option is either work closely with a linux group , Like make a hindi flavour of UBUNTU(HUBUNTU) ..
Or modify a linux to make it a indian flavour....

4. But indian flavour linux already exits....Dont remember name (check bharat).

I suggest Working closely with a linux grp ....
Or If you really want to built a operating system on your on then i am in but if aint ashaned of being an indian .....

This is a good idea,
Hindi or not, developing a OS is great vision.Apart from the funds, its the hardwork and dedication that it requires is most important.Although i am not in position to help financially right now, I am willing to help you in this , as much as i can.
